Droid 2 Gets Bootstrap Recovery a-la Droid X

My good friend Slayher was the first lucky recipient of Koush's brand new bootstrap recovery for Droid 2, and I have pics to prove it!  Frankly, I'm surprised he risked it, given the round-about way he got the 2.  Anyway...

TweetDeck for Android promises to be the best twitter app yet!

I've been using the leaked beta of TweetDeck for android all day and it has already replaced Hoot Suite on my phone! while this beta lacks photo upload and link shortening, its intuitive ui and clean design have won me over.
It had the nice dark look of Touitteur with the multiple stream functionality of Hoot Suite.

Easy root app pulled from market

The first one click root app for the Droid and Droid X has been removed from the android market. This should probably not be much of a surprise, but it is unfortunate. According to the developers, Unstable Apps (http://www.unstableapps.com/?p=43) there was little explanation behind the move. The app is not available from the developers' site, either.

Nexus One Still Available... to some.

Contrary to popular reports out there, the Google branded Nexus One (by HTC) is still available.  According to this website, it can still be purchased by Google's Android Developer Program or through certain carriers (Vodaphone being one of them) in Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK.  Of course, you could turn to sites like eBay, craigslist, or Amazon.com and get one used at a fraction of the price.
